Accomplished chemist, manager and project team leader with 29 years experience in big Pharma. Significant contributions in bringing 5 NCEs (new chemical entities) from research to market in human and animal health: Accupril®, Lyrica®, Palladia®, Apoquel®, and Simparica®. Currently Principal in Vector CMC Consulting LLC (founded 2016) offering expertise in process chemistry development and CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls) project leadership and progression.
Formal technical training in synthetic organic and organometallic chemistry (PhD plus 2-year postdoctoral research); direct industrial experience in development, scale-up, and implementation of commercial synthetic routes for APIs (active pharmaceutical ingredients) to ensure Regulatory approval and high quality and reliable commercial supply. Extensive experience in technology transfers to GMP manufacturing facilities in the US, Europe (Ireland, UK, Switzerland, Portugal), and India.
